    Your Museum ID

We've done this before, but it's been a while and we have a lot of new members since then, so it's good time to do this again.
Why did you choose that particular Museum ID and what does it mean?

Meule is short for my last name Meuleman. All my friends call me Meule, so I chose that for my ID here.

    What's all the hubbub bub?

Or, since I have an interest in Indians (and the old west), hold your hand, four fingers up, with palm facing toward your mouth, and just as you start to say "hooo", start to pat your mouth a few times and see what it sounds like.

Actually there's another meaning. But I like those two.

When I signed up I had a type 1 kirk Mego sitting on my computer so I named myself after that...

When I first signed on to AOL many years back, I tried to get the name Mego, (it was taken) and every variation of that was gone. So in frustration I typed in palitoy and got it, it wasn't my first choice.

I just found the original AOL disk with my notes on it.

I've always loved Jack Kirby's "New Gods" and especially Orion, so hence the name choice. Now I'm "Orion the hunter of toys". Truthfully though, I should have thought of a cooler name, but it works.

Many years back(15-20yrs) I bought a pile of 1960s Neutron & Santo comics that had come from Roy Thomas's Comic collection and searched till I found that Neutron was the star of a series of 6 movies in Mexico circa 1960-63. A great series where not till the last movie was it revealed who the secret identies of the villian and hero were. A great B&W series looking like MGM 40s horror movies. Neutron even had a kid sidekick and the Invisble Man as costars. The comics were photo montage style printed in sepia tones.

I do my best to represent mine. It's more about the person than the toys.

I am surrounded by nobody that shares my interest in mego's or comics. Being invited to be a part of this forum gave me a chance to "talk toys"--with someone other than my children. Although, my five-year-old is developing a passion for daddy's mego's.
