When will Pixar make a bad movie?

I did think Cars had some funny moments and I thought Owen Wilson was fine in it. I guess I just didn't it find it as entertaining as some of the other films.

Oh well, I guess all the films have their weaknesses. As good as the Toy Story films are for example, I hate Randy Newman. Those two films would be much better for me if all his damn songs weren't in them.

For me, Cars suffers from a really slow second act in particular. Of course, I've had to sit through the film at least 20 times because my son loves it. And say what you want about the film, it's been a merchandising powerhouse for Disney/Pixar. It's surely created more merchandising revenue in the boys catagory than anything else Disney has done these days (they have a lot of successful properties for girls merchandise, but not much for boys, so Cars has really helped them). I know that we've sure bought more than our share of Cars items.

WALL-E was alright for me, Cars was much better

Yeah, WALL-E is great, one of my favourite Pixar films actually. The only thing is that I thought the first half was brilliant, but the remainder of the film, while still good, seemed a bit weaker in comparison.

I only really liked the two Toy Story movies.

I found Bug's Life, Cars, Finding Nemo and Ratatouille honestly a bit hard to sit through and thought Monster's Inc was just okay. But to be totally fair to Monster's Inc, I find Billy Crystal's voice really irritating so that might have been what turned me off on it.

I thought The Incredibles was good but not Toy Story good and it's probably a bit overated. I haven't seen WALL-E and have zero interest to. I haven't seen UP yet but plan on it. It's the first Pixar movie to really interest me in ages and it looks really good.

I did think John Lasseter's Disney collaboration Meet the Robinsons wasn't too bad as well as Disney's own Chicken Little.

WALL-E is fantastic...you should see it.

. Up is a great movie, and there is MUCH more too the film than is in the previews. I was honestly surprised by how choked up I got while watching it.

^^^ I didn't like either of them since they seemed to be more aimed at kids only and not the parents, too. Bug's life, Incredibles, and the Toy Story movies had a lot more going for them that appealed to a wider audience.

I despise Finding Nemo and Cars.

Me too but I'm a parent, so I think my disdain is based on repeat viewings. I thought Cars was their weakest film, didn't think it was all that great in the theatre.

My least favorite Pixar flick is "A Bug's Life". Call it the sophomore slump. Still better than just about any other CGI flick, except maybe the first Shrek. That one was really well done, and actually funny.

Wall-E was deceivingly dark, and Rattatoulie was a bit odd, but still good. Up is a great movie, and there is MUCH more too the film than is in the previews. I was honestly surprised by how choked up I got while watching it.

I thought rattatouille was pretty awful and Walle was really too dark in it's tone for me but I think it's a credit to them that none of their work is unversally hated by critics or the general public. we may dislike some casting choices (such as Owen wilson who I think drags cars down) but for children's fare they are pretty good.

I'd have to agree that "Cars" is the worst one....I finally got around to watching it and couldn't get past the first 20 minutes I thought it sucked so bad....Made "A Bug's Life"
look like freakin' Shakespeare...

That being said, I can't wait for "Toy Story 3" to complete the trilogy....the recent re-release of 1 and 2 in 3-D was freakin' awesome.
