Sadly that's a lot of what pop music is these days. All image and no substance. I mainly listen to old music nowadays.

I started this thread...and I stand by what I stated. How did she get a record contract??!!?? Probably the worst performance I've ever seen since I started watching the Grammys....Just Awful. She has to be a "Studio Baby". I've heard kids in grade school that could keep in tune better than her. I just don't get it...How did she get a record contract??!!??

plain and simple she knows somebody thats the only way you gonna get in the entertaimnent business and be succesfull .,talent ,degrees,training and other things mean nothing .trust me I know what I speak off

Madonna was marketing and peddling herself out on the streets, handing out, recording and promoting herself. Something Taylor Swift or Britney Spears probably never did in their life.

Madonna doesn't have a voice either, now if you say Mariah or Celine then yeah. But I think Taylor's voice is just as good if not better then Madonna

When you really think about it, I think even Madonna had a lot of stuff done to her voice at least back in the old days.

When you compare her voice today to her voice on older songs such as Like a Virgin, the difference is striking.

I've heard her live performances numerous times and she has a thing about consistancy. Many times she sounds great but she seems to have "off nights" too often. I really like her voice and think she has a lot of talentLike Miley Cyrus maybe?
