    New Scrooge

I saw the new Christmas Carol flick this afternoon. Wasnt bad. I was actually surprised, as I expected something kind of a cross between old cheese and old ham. this was neither.

What really blew me away -- this was the first modern 3-D film I bothered to pony up the extra 4 bucks for and see in 3-D. WOW! Acres and miles ahead of the old blue and red specs stuff from the "olden days". From here on in, if the film looks good, I'm splurging for the 3-d version.

The only modern 3-D movie I ever seen was Superman Returns in IMAX and it looked fantastic.

I'd love to see a complete movie in 3-D ... Superman was only 3-D in some scenes

I have to say it was amazing.I didnt go in expecting much 3-d wise...and was blown away. They had a preview for Alice in Wondeland and I actually ducked when the Cheshire Cats head came floating out of the screen.

Actually..a Superman animated film in 3-D would be really cool!

My biggest problem with 3-D is I have a really bad wandering eye ... I mean it's so bad I have to consciously keep it straight if I want to see 3-D correctly - and if I do, after a short time I get a headache.

I saw Polar Express in Imax 3D and it blew me away. I do plan to see CC at some point too.

looking forward to watching this movie but i dont go for the 3d ones
as im 80% blind in one eye the 3d side of things dont tend to work out to well for me

instead of things coming out at you direct the image tends to come at you from the side so its even more freaky lol

back in the day when you had to wear them 2 coloured plastic glasses the type of thing you get free in a cereal packet it was even worse, i can still see the colours all blurry on the screen they dont blend in together when i put the shades on :(

aww well thank god for normal cinema lol

I wasn't excited to see yet another Scrooge version, but I saw Polar Express in 3D and was blown away. So I'll probably give this one a go, a 3D experience is so worth it

I'm a huge fan of A Christmas Carol, and this looks surprisingly traditional. I haven't taken in a whole 3-D movie yet either, having seen Superman Returns like Mike. I plan on taking the boy before Christmas to see this.

I saw it today, and really enjoyed it. I took my son, who is 8 and well-versed in the story, but I'd think twice before taking kids under 5 or so. Some fairly disturbing, but totally appropriate stuff in it. The 3-D was amazing, and was actually well-handled, not overdoing the "in-your-face" scenes for the sake of the technology too much.

The minor tweaks they made didn't affect the story, just the presentation of certain scenes for the most part. Carrey was surprisingly subdued. Well worth the money and the time, and one of the better, more faithful adaptations I'd say.

The preview for Alice in Wonderland in 3-D was fantastic. The Chesire Cat's face seems to actually come forward from the screen. Looks to be a lot of fun.

That's my problem too. If I'm tired, I can't do it, 'cos my eye won't stay focused.

The problem Ive had, when things have been flying around on screen, it makes me a little sick and dizzy.
