I went to three Targets in the last two days, and none of them had the Monsters Inc Blu-ray in stock. Very frustrating. I gave up and ended up going to to Best Buy and using the $10 and $8 off coupons that I printed up, so I paid about $12 each for them which wasn't bad. I've heard about some people who somehow managed to stack a bunch of coupons and promotions at amazon.com (after a lot of emailing or phone calls hassling the customer reps) and ended up paying $5.00 or less for both Blu-ray discs. I didn't have the patience or endurance to go through all that, I'm happy with paying 12 bucks a piece.
Mission accomplished. Got both with the three coupons. The funny thing was, I was about to go to Best Buy too. I checked the Target website for Monster Inc availability yesterday and they were out at all area stores except one which was further out.
On a whim, I rechecked it today and it was back in stock in all area stores so I got it at a store 5 minutes away from me.

Damn, I should have waited a day, maybe the stores near me would have restocked too. I was assuming that they wouldn't get new stock until next week, and the Monsters Inc coupon was only good for a week, so I didn't want to wait too long.

dam $5 on amazon?
One guy got it down to under a buck. Of course, this was an extreme YMMV situation. These guys were emailing and calling Amazon CSRs about 10 or 15 times to try to get multiple obscure and rather dubious extra discounts applied to their orders. A lot of people tried with no luck, but a few very persistent guys did really well on a final price.
