    BlockBuster Closing sale.

Went by my local BlockBuster today which is closing. Last 5 days. Picked up The Watchman, Charlton Heston's Omega Man and Black Cadillac movies for $3.99 each. A Poster size print on board framed Star Trek symbol for $8.00 and some display cards.

Thrilled to get a copy of the Omega Man for the price of a rental!
Too many toys. Not enough space!

They'll still be around, even if the close all of the stores. I'm sure their web site will stay plus I saw they've got those rental kiosks.

Block buster could survive but not in it's current form. They realized that a few years ago and have tried no late fees, return to different locations, mail in rentals etc. If they can find a new niche they'll make it but they MUST do something.

                          Their mail-in rental sucks

If they wanna survive that way they need to overhaul the whole way they operate.

They want to close stores an add kiosks. Really, they're suffering from the same thing that killed off the record stores: an out of date business plan and stubborness to adapt to the times.

Blockbuster to close as many as 960 stores - Local business- msnbc.com
