Perry was talking about Steve a month or so back and saying he needs to get his S$%t together. I keep wondering if he is back on drugs or something. Seems like a trainwreck these days

    Exactly!!!

All though I am happy to have seen Aerosmith live several times. Some bands just have to hang it up!! Aerosmith? No. They could have done a few more tours and CDs but Steven just said **** it. Time to leave when I am on top instead of playing the local Village Carnival as a "Has been" been. Which, I doubt Aerosmith could ever do.

If Joe Perry continues, it will not be "Aerosmith". The Joe Perry project like someone said.

I love the CD "Just Push Play". Good CD and music!!!

Aerosmith is finally done and they ended it when they were all alive in in good health.

    RIP Aerosmith.
I guess it was good it stopped this way instead of seeing them as walking corpses. Hence...the Rolling Stones.

Whatever comes out of this mess, I am sure it will be OK.

Sucks that Steven Tyler has left. Anyway yes Brian, if it was 1990, I would be upset.

They've made their hits and had their "super comeback" in the 80s.

    It's over.

    Good band.

Sucks but time to move on.

PS. I still think Liv Tyler is hot. Damn....

Seen pics of Tyler and he looks like a 90 year old lady. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a medical issue. That might explain the suddeness and the lack of info to the other band mates. Of course he could just be a ******nozzle too. Maybe all those years of partying have finally caught up with him. Can't all be Keith Richards. That guy died like 20 years ago and he's still touring. He should be the poster boy for crack and heroin use. He must be powered by energizer.

He and Perry have been together for 40 years. How ever they don't talk much anymore, if at all, and havent written a song together in about 10 years.

even if this means they won't tour again and won't put out a new album it isn't like they are "going away" after all these years their iconic status is set in stone. the Rockin roller coaster is gone but people will still be singing walk this way forever

Those were good times in my opinion. The album they released during that time, Rock In A Hard Place, is my favorite Aerosmith album tied with Toys In The Attic. Jimmy Crespo (Perry's replacement from 1980-1983) was excellent.

Strategic move? Maybe they needed a break?

I know they make tons of money now but there are gazillions to be made on the reunion tour.

Only other good thing to come from him besides Aerosmith is Liv.

I was actually trying to find a picture of this dude (who, incidentally does look like a lady here) when I realized the JP project was back in action as of a month and a half ago.

Cowboy Mach Bell - singer for the JP Project circa 1982 or 3. Did a whang doodle of a cover of Marc Bolan's 'Get it On' with Joe. The album cover pics sort of remind me of the world's (worst) greatest super pirates.

edit: video of this, uh.... singer
