    New from George Romero....

    Diary of the Dead:

The plot sounds DAMN GOOD on this film! I expect big things.

I was downtown Toronto last weekend with my kids and there was a man sitting in his car having a cigarette as I walked by, I did a double take, it was Romero.

He was doing an appearance at an expo but it hadn't opened yet.

A group of young film students run into real-life zombies while filming a horror movie of their own.

Plot sounds a little like Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things.

I was hoping if there ever was another "Dead movie", it would have a better plot.

If they were going to rip off a movie, they should have ripped off Damnation Alley.

They rewrote the script and changed the title from "Dairy of the Dead" when the animatronic zombie cows proved to be too pricey.

Cool, I'm a huge fan of Romero's zombie films, so I'll be looking forward to this.

I would do a double take too. I met him at the same expo a couple years ago. Very nice guy, and I got my "Dawn of the Dead" script signed (also by Ken Foree and Tom Savini, who were also there). I really should have went to the expo last weekend too, because Dario Argento was there along with Romero. That's not something you see everyday.

I've met Dario Argento a couple of times already, but I'd love to meet George Romero one day

Now THIS is something I'm wating for too! Romero, Carpenter, Tarantino, and The Cohen Bros. are some of my favoite directors there! "The Dead" series are some of the best films I have ever seen! I can't wait for this movie! I love all kindsa zombies, running, moaning, screaming for "brains", don't really matter. Zombies are zombies, and since so many share my excitement about the undead, may I reccomend the Max Brooks zombie books if you haven't read them already, ("The zombie survival guide" and "World War Z"). Awesome reading right there!

I believe zombie movies are the purest form of horror, the zombies are the background, the actual story and drama, however, is supplied by the survivng humans in question, and how they react to the situations at hand. THAT's the real terror. We see, and know people who act crazy in not-so-serious situations so imagine how this type of person acts in this kinda situation. That's what makes it entertaining for me. IMO. Plus the gore ain't all that bad either, specially when Nicotero or Savini's involved.

I didn't see either name, so that's one negative thing for me so far, hope the gore measures up.
