Sesame Street and I go waaaay back....to the very beginning actually. Some of my earliest memories are sitting watching Ernie and Bert. I remember when Oscar was orange and Gordon had hair. I've always been a "mark" for anything Sesame Street and still have my original hand puppets...although Ernie is now blind in one eye and Bert is completely bald (not that he had much to work with to begin with). Eventually, we all "outgrow" Sesame Street, at least publically. But I had renaissance with the gang when my kids were small and they'd repeatedly watch their collection of video tapes. Brought back a lot of memories and created some new ones....Grover became known in our house as "Echo" because of the "Sing After Me" duet he did with the late Madelaine Khan.
I highly recommend the Sesame Street: Old School DVDs (Volume 1 and 2) for those fans of "back in the day".....Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

My Dad loves to remind everyone that one of my very first words was "agua" because Luis was crawling across the desert asking for water in Spanish.
So yeah, me and Sesame Street go way back. Now my daughter loves it. My son liked it okay, but Danielle is really into it. Of course, Elmo is her favorite. He's not as bad as some make him out to be, but I still love the classics: Bert, Ernie, Grover, Cookie Monster, the Count. Oddly enough, Big Bird was my least favorite of the main characters.
