Just curious, have you ever watched STELLA or the new one on Wednsdays MICHAEL AND MICHAEL HAVE ISSUES. I'm a huge fan of Wain, Showalter and Black.

My pick for movie though, would be be THE MACHINIST with Christian Bale.

      Night Shift (1982)
YouTube - Night Shift Theatrical Trailer (1982)

One of my favorites with Henry Winkler and Micheal Keaton. Movie is still great to this day!

      Going Bezerk (1983)

      Probably John Candys funniest movie!

      Sword and the Sorcerer (1982)

YouTube - The Sword The Sorcerer Video trailer

Used to watch this all the time when we first got cable when I was kid.

Damn the 80's were full of great underatted movies.
      Maybe I should add

The Rocketeer- many people disregard it as an Indiana Jones wanna be But It has a charm to it that still is endearing to me. Bill Campbell look liked he walked straight out of the comic.........ticks me off that Disney never made a sequel to it.

HAW! AWESOME film! The sequel wasn't bad either.

My favourite film of all time is pretty underrated; "Rock and Rule."

            Don C.

Nice - one of my prized possessions is an original VHS of the Nelvana short film "The Devil and Daniel Mouse".

I agree great film and not well known which is a real shame.

Loved Sky Captain. It would've really been great if they had someone like Brenden Fraiser playing sky Captain (he fits the archetype more)

Rocketeer was a great film. Like Sky Captain and the Phantom film, it always seemed to be missing that one..something?...that would have pushed it into the blockbuster realm.

Yeah, he would have been great as the Captain....He's good with tongue in cheek comic book stuff like this.

Kung Fu Hustle. Dubbed version I don't care for. Loved the subtitled version.

I love Stephen Chow, and this film is great. Parts of it are like a Warner Bros. cartoon brought to life. And yes, as with most Hong Kong films, the English dubbed version is horrible, you really gotta go with the Cantonese soundtrack and English subs.

For an underrated film (but I'm sure it's remembered) I'm gonna go with STARSHIP TROOPERS. I think the film is brilliant, but it didn't sit well with a lot of people who really didn't catch all the satire involved. Great SFX too, much of which still hold up today.

Another film I really like is CRANK. I know many people think it's the stupidest movie they ever saw, but that's part of the point of the film. You can't take it seriously, you just have to let the film carry you along for a fun, ridiculous ride. And it looks stunning on Blu-ray.
