well, this year I got off my azz and started making things early.
Here is the first costume I rocked this year:
Yeti
it made it through a wicked birthday party early in the month, then all but got destroyed at Theatre Bizarre in Detroit last weekend.
the next 2 pics are of my make-up for halloween day and the costume I wore, but I don't have any pics yet of me in both at the same time.
Dead SpaceMan:
they both were tons of work, but I am mostly happy with them.
click for larger pics.
fun times.

A few years ago I made it a tradition to hit the clearance sales after Halloween for deals on decorations. This year I got up early and drove over to Bowling Green and hit several stores. I found stuff ranging from 50-75% off:
The box on the right contains fifty Universal Monsters candles. I got them for .19 each, and at that price I couldn't pass them up. I got thirty Wolf Man candles:
One Bride of Frankenstein, nine Frankensteins, four Mummys, and six Creatures:
I already have a complete set of the candles, but at that price I couldn't leave them behind.

What a wonderful Halloween it was. Here I am, in my secret life. My husband didn't even know I got all gussied up. By the time he got home, I had removed my makeup and 99% of the glues and rubber mask grease on me. He thought I took the day off to help with the Halloween parade...any excuse to get in ape gear I will do it, no questions asked.
Here is my little gorilla!!
Those who look outside dream. Those who look within awake.
Samples of my work are found here: Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness
To do list:
1:6 boots for Mathilda, 1:1 Romulan Commander outfit, Ursus helmet; Cornelius appliance
1:9 scale ape's new suit for Cornelius;Comment
