I don't understand why the hair in that picture is white. I was watching a documentary on how the movie was made, and John Carpenter as well as the guy who bought/altered the mask said that they painted it white, cut the eyeholes wider, and removed the sideburns/eyebrows. And for a Kirk mask the hair should have been brown anyway.

Cheaply made, the color probably just faded from the hair. It's easy to see it was the same mask converted though.
