anybody know of any vintage toy stores in las vegas
ok, to answer my own post- just got back from las vegas and managed to find one shop that had megos. the shop is in caesar's palace and is called ANTIQUITY. they had boxed 8 inch superman $395, loose superman $95, loose speedy $295, loose joker $95, loose batmobile for 8 inch figures $150, comic action heroes batman and robin at a whopping $65 each and some others. all were a little too rich for my blood. the store also sells hollywood memoribilia , movie posters, and autographs.on a side note i also ran into baseball great Pete Rose in the mall. that was pretty cool.
Though the prices were steep, it's still kinda cool to come across Megos in Caesar's Palace of all places! I'll be in Vegas in about a month so I'll probably stop in there and check them out, though I doubt I'll be buying much. Did you happen to come across any comic/toy stores in the area while there, even if they were Mego-less?
yes you do have a point. imagine just wandering thru caesar's palace and all of a sudden stumble onto some megos in a glass case. it was a thrill but only until i saw their prices.
there's a kb toys at las vegas outlet center on las vegas blvd.
i was only there for 4 days and didnt have time to explore too far from the strip area. i would definitely recommend checking out the yellow pages for comic shops in the area.
