I'v just got thru being the sickest I've been in my life.First my son tested positive for the H1 M1 virus, 3 days later I tested positive for the H1 M1 virus. After being down with the swine flu for 2 weeks I developed Pneumonia. This has been a very scary thing for me. I never get the flu shots but I wouldn't want to go thru this ever again. If your kids get a fever or show other symptons I would suggest getting them checked right away. To top it off I missed alot of work, used up my sick days, and even though I'm in management and on salary, my work refused to pay me for my missing days. I'm just now able to start functioning as normal. Anyway I wanted to let everyone know because I didn't get everything people bought from me shipped out before I got sick. I will be getting everything caught up tonight and this weekend. Sorry for the delay.

My wife had it recently. Ughh....I'm glad you're on the mend. Work sucks. We get a generous 2 days of berevement and zero sick days right now. It's BS. 2 days of berevement is a joke, that isn't even enough time to deal with someone you don't like let alone a love one. The flu sucks."Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."Comment

Jason, I'm glad to hear you are coming around. When you mention the sickest you have ever been, it reminded me of last Christmas time when I was sick for nearly two weeks, including a 4 day hospital stay. Terrible. No one even knew about a swine flu at that time. Makes me wonder. I had terrible pains shooting up the side of my head and was very dehydrated. That was the sickest I'd ever been.
I hope your son came through ok. I've fought tooth and nail to get a dose of the h1n1 vaccine for my son who's 4 and has a slight egg allergy. I have it going to the Allergist and I really hope I'm making the right choice. I've been trying to get it for him for the past two weeks and it will be another two before we can get him the shot.Comment

glad your getting better. As an educator I must say if I get sick I can be out a while. I get 5 state and 5 local sick days a year that accumulate if not used. I currently have 37 days saved. When I retire in many years I can cash in my sick days for $135 a day. Hopefully I never have to use too many of them. I was out a week last year with my gall bladder so I was happy I had sick days.Comment

My son has a sinus infection and strep and is going back to the dr today because he's not getting better. He's missed the whole week of school. Not fun at all.
Glad your better Jason.sigpic WANTED: Boxed, Carded and Kresge Carded WGSHComment

Glad to hear you are recovering Jason.
Our three-month-old contracted H1N1 this week and it has been a scare. My wife and I have lived at the hospital or at home on pins and needles. Fortunately she is out of the rough and on her way to a full recovery as well. Take it slow buddy and do not push yourself too hard out of the gate."Procrastination is the art of planning for tomorrow."Comment

Hey Jason. What were your symptoms like until it developed into pneumonia? I mean did it operate like a bad upper respiratory infection (bad cough, chest congestion) or was it more like the straight flu with fever and upset stomach, etc. Glad you've turned the corner...Comment
