Kiss Sonic Boom drops 71% in second week

After only one week the new Kiss record has left the top ten. Poised to come in at number 11. This is the biggest drop in sales of any record in the top 48 releases. I think Walmart and KISS have got to be pretty disappointed that the high exposure didn't result in better sales. At this rate, it will be lucky to go gold.

            It's not surprising

Today's society has a very short attention span.

Gone are the days when Dark Side of the Moon stayed on the charts for 11 years

I have yet to even see the dumb thing in a store. I might buy it if I saw it.

I am not surprised, the first week all the die hard fans went and purchased it. after that who really cares about yet another KISS album? From what I have heard on the radio I am not impressed but then I never was a big KISS fan.

I don't think the Walmart-exclusive idea was the best for this band. Yes, it allowed those of us who bought it to get a great price but I don't think that the majority of KISS fans around the world are necessarily Walmart shoppers...just my 2 pesos.

I think that's certainly a part of it.

Me, I bought the CD. I thought it was good. First CD I bought in ages.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

because most youth of today do not want an ok rock album that sounds like it is stuck in 1986. The music (nowadays) does not have the same appeal to many of the younger people as it did when this style was still popular before they were born. To many of us older folk it might be a great album. To many of the younger people it would be more of a curiousity purchase. I am really not trying to rank on Kiss at all with this, but they are really out of touch if they thought this would be in the charts for any record number of time

I saw the prices on those. Now THAT is a joke. $6.00 for a small bag of candy?
