    Oldest TV in Your House?

I've got a Zenith console (with Computer Space Command remote control!) in my basement toyroom that we got when I was a kid around 1982....it's a monster but it's lasted longer than any other TV I've ever owned. They don't make 'em like that anymore!

    Three years.

All of our four flat screens are relatively new.

I have a Sony regular picture tube TV I bought a few years ago.
It's the only TV I currently own.
I never owned a flatscreen TV or even Flatscreen computer monitor

Hmmm...I think the one in the living room, b/c I believe Mom got hers before I got mine. I think it's from '94. I do hope one day when I move into my own home, I can retro out my living room and have a TV like this:

(Scroll down to 60s TVs, the last one, right above the dining room set. The Olympic).

Our oldest is a 19" Emerson TV/VCR combo that I bought 18 years ago. The TV still works fine, but the VCR took a dump about 10 years ago, it still has a tape stuck in it. If it was a normal VCR, it would be easy for me to take the top off and get the tape out of there, but that's the bad thing about these combo units, they are a PITA to take apart and fix. The TV is in storage now, don't have a use for it currently. Second oldest is a 27" Sony Trinitron from 2002. Those things are tanks, they last forever. It's currently in the guest room. The family room and our bedroom have HDTVs, they get used the most by far.

I've got 7 in the house

All of the kids have TV's in their rooms, but those are only about 3 years old. The master bedroom TV is about 5 years old. The living room TV is less than 3 months old. Family room TV is about 10 years old, and the basement TV is a 20 years old Sony.

Mid 80's Sony 27". It started to have linearity issues on the top and bottom so I got a newer TV but after a while I turned that old TV on and it was all cleared up.

Funny, just trashed one of these about three weeks ago. It was my wife's when we were dating. We've been married for 21 years. They were obviously a quality television. This one was in my mother's bedroom. Finally died one night during the evening news.

I still have a B&W 12" Magnasonic I got for Christmas in 1978. Still works pretty good too!

I have my grandma's Sears brand color tv and it's got to be from around 1972-74. Still works but don't use it anymore.
