I'm not in NYC anymore, but I was told they didn't use the 6 finger hand intro last year. I wonder if they are this year? Anyone know what movie they'll be showing?

She's gettin' pretty old isnt she?...still hot....but old. I thought they had a new girl playing Elvira these days....or was that just for the reality show bit?

Elvira has always been a West Coast host.

It just don't feel right having her on PIX.

PIX should take care of their own

I agree....WPIX has that New York City vibe (or at least it used to) and Elvira doesn't fit the profile (or her dress )

I find Elvira to be quite annoying.

Yeah but you know PIX is not the PIX that we all grew up with.....I prefer old school.......

What I wish is that they brought back late night Horror/sci-fi B movies.....

I heard that within the last year they were trying to embrace their roots again but I don't know how successful that has been....they did a Magic Garden reunion within the last few years and they brought back the Yule Log and Chiller Theatre once a year but that ain't enough to me.....Doesn;t really matter even if they did, since my cable company hasn't carried WPIX since they became a WB station years and years ago (stupid Syndax laws.....)

I appreciate the fact that they're trying to return to their roots again, and I wish I was there to see some of that. But Elvira doesn't belong on PIX. They should do the 6 six fingered hand. It's the intro a lot of us 70s east coast babies remember.

Man I miss the days of WPIX and WNEW in the 70s.

Y'know, I didn't watch WOR all that often. I know Bowling for Dollars was on there! Movies too, but I don't remember that much about it. That's pretty much the only channel of the 7 we got that I didn't watch.

You weren't missing much.....Joe Franklin and that's about it. Later years it would spawn Morton Downey and Howard Stern....
