Easy computer question (switching a default)

I have Outlook Express and Outlook

Don't ask me why I have both

    I only use Outlook Express

I have it set that I can open Outlook Express from my top toolbar while i'm on the internet ... it's a little envelope icon.

Whenever I have a power outage and the computer reboots for some reason the computer makes that little envelope icon open up Outlook ... I don't want that, I want it to open to Outlook Express.

I can get into Outlook Express through a desktop icon.

My question, how do I make the toolbar envelope icon open Outlook Express ? ... the way it was.

    Thanks

If you are using Windows XP:

Open Start Menu. On the right side of the Start Menu should be a choice titled, "Set Program Access and Defaults".

Select "Set Program Access and Defaults".

A new dialog box will open asking you to choose a configuration. Choose the drop down for "Custom" (the last item in the list).

This will jump you to your next set of choices. The second grouping in the list is "Choose default e-mail program. If Outlook Express is not selected, this is where you would change it to make Outlook Express your default e-mail application.

Click "okay" and then check to see if that changed it to open with Outlook Express.
