Mosquito Bites!Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

I went to an outdoor barBQ last weekend and didn't wear long pants or remember to sray my legs with bug repellanr and guess what....

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I was ok most of the week bwcause the weather here in NY got cool and damp and it rained until Thurs. However since Fri it has got hotter and humid and now these bites on my lower legs have become nigh unbearable.

I was using Calmine Lotion but it didn't seem to stop the itching. I asked the guy at the Pharmacy about using Tanactin, the athletes foot spray and he said, nahhhh, use the cortozone cream. It works for a while but is there anything better!?!?!?!

Dude living in Florida,I feel you man.But there's really nothing you could do.I know I use to scratch so bad that it would bleed sometimes

Not sure if its available in the States, but up here in Canada we have a product called After Bite that works pretty good. It smells like ammonia, and if you've sratched the bite too much, it can burn a little, but it does kill the itch after a few minutes.
Wal-Mart, and most pharmacy's carry it.

Try running the bites under the hottest water you can stand. The heat kinda short circuits the pain receptors around the bite. You'll get about 30 minutes of relief

Ouch! I hate those things. Whenever I get mosquito bites they swell up tot eh size of a silver dollar! I just put up with it and after a couple of days the itching goes away. Sounds crazy but I would slap the bite as hard as I could. The sting from the slap made me forget the itch.

I put liquid Benedryl on my kids, they say it works great.

Take it from a guy living in New Orleans, where the mosquito is the state bird. Use Rhuli Gel by Band-aid Brand. Clear, odorless and soothes the itch.

You can take a knife and slice off the offending bite. That will take care of it for sure.

If you're not quite that serious about getting rid of the itch, then use the Rhuli-Gel Shane mentioned. I've used that stuff as well and it's the best I've tried.

You could always use the clear nail polish method. But I often wondered how safe that was to use on an open sore if you scratched the head off the bite.

Calamine lotion alone won't help nearly as much as Caladryl, which has Benadryl in it.

I'm the Freakin Poster boy for Mosquito bites seems everything I put on doesn't work I swear the Mosquitos think I'm just putting Butter or Gravy on my skin they feast on me....

I was ate up with bites (thanks to the mall I live behind not clearing out the devilish trees behind my property!) I was cleaning out one of my storage facilites and the wretched bugs were feasting on me like I was thanksgiving turkey!

To make matters worse the storage facility somehow let water in and destroyed alot of my mothers stuff and mine. So here I was cussing and scratching at the same time. What a day that was.
