I picked up the Oprah 20th. Anniversary for my wife and we have been watching it when we have some down time together, I have to tell you I think she is great and I was never an Oprah fan….. Until now!
Howard Stern was playing the Tyson interview this morning; she sure knows how to pull at your heart strings!
Agreed. She is as phony as they come. And to go on this pretentious "crusade" with Obama to try and win the Olympics in Chicago only underscored her bloated ego. It was fitting and not surprising to me that they were the first booted from contention. When asking for something, come with humility or don't come at all. As far as Tyson goes, he was a brutal fighter and I remember putting my timer on him when someone stepped into the ring. His knockouts were just that fast and devastating. I'll always view him as one of the best. Unfortunately such men seldom measure up to be more than what got them to that moment. People WANT Tyson to be larger-than-life, like Ali, because that's how he was remembered in the ring. But unfortunately Tyson is not much more than a one dimensional thug. And people around him continue to use his legacy to reap monetary rewards (like the man who authored this current story about him). Tyson does not remotely look like a man reformed. He looks like a guy who is currently limited by his vast array of mistakes and wants a second shot at money and fame.
