    American Football in England

I was surprised to come across this video.

Judging by the crowd turnout, American Football isn't very popular in the UK

I mean...when two NFL teams go to England in pre-season...the stadium usually fills up because...well...it's a nice novelty...something different...only once a year.

But I assure you...an NFL franchise will not survive there.

Soccer is a religion over there.

You forgot Mexico. The NFL is really pushing it there.

When I was in the service we had a full contact football team that played other bases. We had a lot of guys who had played college ball so the play was good. I loved playing then. got me out of a lot of work and it was fun. We were a tiny base so we always sucked.

You would have thought they would have learned with the WFL.

I don't know why you have the need to hate one over the other...I don't.

I love American football too...but I'm a realist...and I tell it like it is...American football is not a world sport like soccer is...that's just a fact.

And hardly scrubs...England's Manchester United is the most expensive sports franchise in the world...and that's over teams like the Cowboys and Redskins (the top two NFL franchises in terms of net worth).

                      Don't hate...appreciate.

I think with the current drug cartels problems in Mexico right now...it's not going to happen anytime soon down there.

But Mexico does have a world-class stadiums (and NFL fans)...especially estadio Azteca...I've attended soccer games there...and that's one ENORMOUS (seats over 100k) and awesome stadium for sure....

I like soccer but LOVE football. I was in a German town at 11:00 on a Saturday one time trying to get gas. Everything was closed and I mean EVERYTHING. I saw a woman walking down the street and asked where everyone was. She told me that their team had made the playoffs and that everyone was at the soccer statium. Just then a huge cheer came from the statium. It was definitely big in that town. Soccer fan are also the most violent. You never hear of a fan killing a football ref for a bad call.
