Taking a Break For Awhile

Due to a loss in the Family...I find no joy in my hobby right now. I'm sure I'll return to the Museum someday...but I need time. I won't go into details...because I not comfortable with sharing my personal business with the World.

Yeah, when I lost my Mom last year, everything that was fun seemed so hard. I felt pressure from myself to hang on to the things I enjoyed. I had this overwhelming drive to appear normal, even though I felt anything but. All the while I was just being too hard on myself.

It was my first time to lose someone, especially to lose the person closest to me.

The best thing I can say is that the pain will heal, but there will still be a scar there to remind you. Then you'll return to something familiar.

I understand Dane, and I'll miss your enthusiasm here. But if I can offer some advice, if it brings you joy, don't abandon it when you need it most. After I lost my mom, one of the things that kept me going was my hobbies. It was about the only area of my life where I could concentrate and not think of my loss.

But it's different for everyone. We'll be here when you are ready to come back.
