Yeah, they changed him quite a bit for the later shorts and TV episodes. Walter Lantz's wife started doing the voice and they made him more likable. He was a jerk in the early toons.

Anyone else here HATE Woody Woodpecker ?
I always hated Woody Woodpecker.
Besides his voice being just plain annoying I hated the fact HE was the antagonist of his cartoons.
I would usually feel sorry for the people he harrassed.
Anyone else hate Woody ?
