Kiss to get their first ever number one record!

It's looking to be official based on early sales reporting. No one is close to catching them. Wow! Ace and Peter will NEVER hear the end of it. Here's the report...

Not to put Kiss down but in today's music world they really don't have much competition

And yet still charge fans up to $1.500 for meet & great after their shows, I herd an interview with Gene Simmons on Howard Stern last week and was amazed that they still had such a strong following.

Gene himself said "up to $1500" unless he was fudging the numbers...

I agree with you, if they want to be crazy enough to make the rich richer that's fine by me...

I on the other hand would not!

At this point in my life, I would probably do just about anything to meet them myself. Even thought about paying that amount of money when I realized that I needed a new guitar amp and laptop and so I decided not to spend the money on that.
I have met a lot of famous people in the music business but still have not met any of the members of KISS. Really ****es me off to no extent. LOL
All though I have met Bob Kulick (Bruce's Kulick's brother) but that really doesn't count.

I've met Gene Simmons twice in Louisville (free), Paul Stanley once (free), Eric Carr (right after a concert during the Animalize tour). I made shirts for the band during their farewell tour and security let my WIFE take them to the front of the stage where she was allowed to give them to Pual Stanley (I'm still jealous of that because it was MY artwork...oh well. She looks prettier). I did get Paul Stanley's guitar pic after he threw some into the crowd while he was playing 'Love Gun' so it wasn't a total loss. Gene is a complete gentleman and very polite; Paul was very personable and easy to talk to; and Eric was nice, but a very quiet person.

I can't stand 90% of their music. Their songs are simple and sound the same. If you were a kiss fan back in the day you were laughed at, because even as teenagers we recognized BS when we heard it. Sorry had to post this after seeing a new kiss thread everyday.

Of course you had to post, you know, being too cool for the room and all.

I'm not willing to buy the album yet. "Modern Day Delilah" sounds like 80's KISS to me and I wasn't digging it, but I want to hear some more songs. Maybe it gets better, but it doesn't sound at all like the 70's as they claimed.

I haven't even taken the time to buy Ace's new album, from which I've heard a number of songs and, well, it sounds like Ace.

Hey, thanks for those links! I checked out a number of the songs on youtube and I like the other tunes better than "MDD". I have to say the mix sounds great.

You may have turned me around on this album. I'll have to pick it up.
