Koto is always great in anything he ever plays in ...

Even as a badguy, there's something about him that makes people like his character

it is the prototype for a boat chase the same way Bullitt is the modern car chase - one of the reason LALD is still on most peoples top 10 bonds. And Yaphet Koto as Mr big was very cool

I remember seeing some newspaper ads that superimposed more modest shorts over top of the girl. Guess it was too risque for some markets. I have to say, it was a really eyecatching poster.

I had the For Your Eyes Only movie poster hanging on the wall over the head of my bed...it never failed to incite comments from visiting adults when they'd come in the room and see Roger Moore aiming his gun between the long legs of a chick with a crossbow.

I love that Casino Royal takes a more serious approach to Bond. I don't miss some of the campy lines, like the one Brosnan used with Christmas Jones..."And I thought Christmas only came ones a year".

The whole Audience groaned when he said that line.

This was due to the legal action that ended up giving former Fleming collaborator Kevin McClory rights to "Thunderball". This supposedly included the character of Blofeld since he was introduced in that story. Although he ended up appearing in other Bond films, so I'm not sure why he couldn't be named in For Your Eyes Only. The case seems a bit convoluted, it may have been due to McClory finally being able to get production started on the remake of Thunderball that he was allowed to produce as a result of his lawsuit with Fleming (which ended up being the film "Never Say Never Again")

I think there's a reference in the dialogue to it being the anniversary of Tracy's death......Blofeld being responsible, it's only fitting that Bond should get his revenge that day....

Live and Let Die was the first James Bond movie I ever seen in the theatre -- and the first Bond movie I ever seen period.

For that reason, it holds a special high spot in my fav list.

Right there with ya. That deadpan delivery was just so fitting.

Please Mr. Bond...We can do a deal. I'll buy you a delicatessen...in stainless steel! (just before he is dropped down the smoke stack)
