New British Show Forces Family to Live in the 70s

    http://www.herald.ie/entertainment/t...s-1900157.html

It should come as no surprise that this is one "reality" show I'd watch.

Electric Dreams snatches all that away from them. Their suburban house is redecorated in hideous yellows and browns.

It's kind of weird thinking the entire world seems to have had a 70's look and feel throughout their houses (back in the 70's) but not mine.
We must have been just behind the times because my house (in the 70's) looked like it was decorated in the 50's -- and thinking about this, I think it was

I would hate to relive the 70's.

I would totally do that! That sounds like FUN!

I often wonder how I'd adjust if I was sent back to the 70's. Aside from spending way too much time in old toy stores and adjusting the antennae of my TV, I really think I'd miss a lot of the conveniences of today. The internet for one!

interesting promo shot. They are sending them back to the 70s, but the gadgets are from the early 90's.

I think I would miss more than anything, my VCR and the microwave, but I spend most of my time online buying back my childhood, talking about it and watching shows from it. If I was living it, I don't think I'd need to do that.

Didn't they already do that on some show a couple years ago? I think it was MTV.
It was a bunch of young people that they forced to live with only 70's tech. I think it may have been a reality-game show (like big brother).

Now that you mention it Rich I remember that. I think it was called That 70s House or something like that.
It might be fun to live 70s style for a week but not much longer that that. I'd love to watch a new reality show like that.

I really wouldn't miss much....I love the internet, cable tv, etc. but honestly it doesn't rule my life.

There was another reality show that aired a few years ago (similar to Frontier House) where a family was forced to live in the Victorian age. Now that seemed pretty miserable!

I'd love not to have to pay the bills for cable, cell phones, internet, etc but man would I miss the microwave - yes I know they existed in the 70's but they weren't cheap our family didn't get one till the 80's.
