He was way nastier then Austin

Austin was play acting ... I heard this guy was an ****** in real life.

Even most wrestlers didn't like him

              Yep,
I also heard he did NOT have permission to slap the 20/20 guy.
His story is Vince told him to do it then Vince stabbed him in the back.

Vince say's there's no way he would want to make the WWF look bad doing that -- and bring on a lawsuit (which they lost) to boot.

That slap pretty much destroyed any chance he had of having any longevity in the business....at the time he was being promoted with Roddy Piper as his manager if I recall so he probably could have gotten more of a push if it hadn't been for the slap to Stossel's ear.

If you want to see some cool old school 80's WWF talk ...
Check out Captain Lou, Dave Schultz and some other wrestlers on the Morton Downey Jr Show ...

For the younger crowd, Morton Show was a New Jersey show like Jerry Springer with a bad attitude

I used to love Morton Downey jr espeically when he's blow smoke at the nuts on the show. I think he predated springer but maybe it was just Jerry wasn't national yet (I saw it on ?wor? on cable one of the NY stations when we only had 10 channels)

Speaking of 80's WOR-9 TV shows, remember The Richard Bey Show ?
