Trying to Remember 70's TV show from Sat Mornings

We were talking about Sat morning shows in the 70's, and some mentions a live action show with some guy who has a beat up car, and when he honks the horn, it transforms into a sup'ed up hot rod.

It rings a bell, but I cannot place it.

David Levy (who played Barry) is now a psychology professor at Pepperdine University. I e-mailed him and he actaully offered to autograph something for me. I sent him one of my Krofft Supershow comics, and he signed it. He also told me that he has one of the double 00 baseball jerseys in the back of his closet.

                  LOved Wonderbug!
                  Rich

Sittin' in a junkyard, waitin' to be ground up is a pile of cars.
Lookin' for an old car. Found a funny Schlepcar. Let's make him ours.
Found a magic horn. A new car was born.
The toughest of the toughest, super cars.

                  Wonderbug, Wonderbug, Wonderbug, Wonderbug
Faster than fast, smarter than smart, Wonderbug

When you hear the horn, help is on the way
So clap your hands, hip hip hooray!
For the Wonderbug, the wonderful Wonderbug!

I have a lot of the Krofft shows on tape. Saturday mornings are a happy place in my house.

Yup, Wonderbug, came on the heels(or wheels) of Speed Buggy and Herbie the Love Bug. I had heard one of the 2 guys went on to do porn.
