The Beatles return the music charts to the 60's!

The Beatles sold an amazing 626,000 records last week. They currently hold 15 of the top 18 spots on Billboard's top catalog album charts! It's very cool to see a whole new generation embrace this band. I think that game has introduced the Beatle's story and songs to our kids today, while the remastered boxsets are creating excitment with the existing fan base. Let's face it, when you see the cover story of Rolling Stone asking the question, "Why did the Beatles breakup", you've stirred some serious nostalgia.

among the beatles fans (and there are lots) I am sure the remastered sound on the game didn't hurt either. rock band is as popular with the over 35 crowd of gamers as kids. I haven't bought an album in years but the sales channel will tell alot about who bought all these albums. if mostsly MP3 sales I agree with you about kids, but if mostly CD sales I would lean towards the older fans buying remasters.

I kind of miss the 70's, 80's and 90's before the Beatles were overplayed and over exposed..

I'm not counting the 60's because of course that was their era ... But throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's being a big Beatles fans was extra fun ...
Their songs were not overplayed on the radio etc ...

All us fans had a secret wink-wink/handshake ....
When Help or Yellow Sub played on TV it was an EVENT.
        Conventions were fantastic .....
Ringo's Yellow Submarine radio show ...
As an American fan, being PROUD some of our albums were not like the British releases ...

Today now that the whole world adopted them and is commercially over-exposing them i'm kind of getting sick of the Beatles.

^^^^^^ That might have a lot to do with The Beatles themselves not having control over their own music. Biggest pet peeve I have is hearing Beatle music used in commercials.

I thought the Americans burnt all their Beatles records way back in the mid 60's.
