Oldest Person Dies at 115....

why would they order an autopsy on her? I am not a doctor, but I think I could figure out how she died, she was 115!!!

I am not trying to sound cruel. It is awesome she lived this long. I just cannot figure out why they would do an autopsy on her:

Maybe more of a study of how she lived.

Maybe to learn something about her longevity. Can't say I'd want to live that long. My grandmother on my father's side lived to be 88 and her last few years were not pleasant.
She was a lively person into 70's so it was sad to see and I know as her body failed she probably felt trapped inside it.

Why not?, if you are happy and alert with all your mental faculties. I can understand the point if you were ill and miserable.
The only thing is you'd better get used to going to funerals.

There are still contributions to make and things to do and see. It's all about experience and finding loved ones to share them with. It would be facinating to see what the children of our world is doing when all of our peers are long gone. One who lives that long has a body that serves as sort of a time machine. Very cool.

can't say I would want to live that long either. A friend of mine just passed away at the age of 104. I met him when I worked at a lumber yard and he was in his mid 90's at the time. He was smart still drove and really good humor at that time. Last time I saw him was about 4 months before he passed, he was in a wheel chair and still very alert and same humor. He had a good life. But, one day chatting with him at the lumber yard, he was telling me how hard it is to outlive all his friends, and family, he out lived his kids, his wife, ... Not sure if I'd want to deal with that kind of loss.
