I remembered that day like it was yesterday. The most shocking thing to ever look at and may they all rest in piece.I still believe that there is more about the towers situation and the surrounding building, especially building seven. That building was to far to drop down like the others did.Theres a lot more to this story!!! There is lots of evidence but its hush....hush.It was a scary day didn't what else was gonna happen.

I'll never forget it. I can remember being at work and a buddy of mine said, "I think a small plane just flew into the world trade center." I thought to myself, "How weird is that?" Then a few minutes later he says, "No. It might be bigger." At that point I went running downstairs to our lunchroom to find a whole group of people, management included, crowded around the television. From that point operations for the whole company pretty much stopped. When the second plane hit, I went upstairs and called my wife and told her to leave work, get the kids, and come home because our country was being attacked. It was as surreal a moment as I have ever faced. I felt like I was in the middle of the movie "Red Dawn". The minute I walked in the door, I pulled out a blank VHS tape and threw it into my recorder. I said to myself, "This is history I want my own recordings of." We just sat in front of the television the rest of the night and watched in complete astonishment. I couldn't believe the twin towers were gone.

I was supposed to get on a plane that day to fly to Montana and play some shows. Needless to say, that tour had to get rescheduled. Oddly enough, the day we flew in for the makeup dates for those shows was the anniversary of the 1st attempted attack on the WTC in 1993. I always thought that was a weird bit of synchronicity.

We were watching it all unfold live even here in Oz, just stunned. Seems strange to think it's 8 years ago though. The West Wing was on when they had a news break about the first plane, then live from when the second plane hit. It was around 11pm here I think, I sat glued to the set until dawn.

We had two friends working at WTC back then so some pretty anxious moments on a personal level too, we quickly found out that they were both holidaying in Europe though (Separately, they don't know each other). They both suffered pretty bad "survivor's guilt" IMO, especially since they were stuck in Europe for a while unable to get back home to friends in NYC.

The conspiracy theory crap about 9/11 is even worse than the "faked' Moon landing garbage, makes me sick to my stomach and disrespects the people who died. Helpfully though, proponents immediately identify themselves as complete nuff-nuffs as soon as the words leave their mouths. Ehhh... no offense Fett, I'm sure you were talking about something else anyway

I was standing in line mailing a Mr Fantastic Mego to Blue Meanie when I heard the news on the post office over-head television.

My nephew worked in Manhattan at the time and was trapped in the city all day and most of that night.

Everytime I pass by the WTC site, I still feel a deep sadness.

Yep, I remember the day in vivid detail. I was working contract at a Army Base at that time. I remember the talk of brining in patriot batteries to defend in case we were attacked.
