                      all of these pics are really cool, but the one with the black cross does not work for me at all. If I stare at the cross it gets the blurry double vision look but I still see the dots

                        I believe so also. There was a building about 15 feet below them but it was conveniently cut out. I think that is what it was.

                          Everything I can find from researching it says the photo is legitmate. It's called "Lunch atop a Skyscraper." It was taken in 1932 by Charles C. Ebbets during construction of the RCA Building (renamed as the GE Building in 1986) at Rockefeller Center.

                          I know Wikipedia is not the most reputable source, but here is the article: Lunchtime atop a Skyscraper - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

                            It was "staged" (they weren't actually eating lunch) - but they were really up that high.
