New Ace Frehley - listen here-entire new CD!

Well you can listen to the entire new Ace CD here! I'm not all that impressed, what about you guys? I was expecting a bit heavier. Thats just me though.

Wow... I thought at this hour his new album would wake me up... But instead it put me to sleep. Even the remake of the Sweet song "Fox on the Run" was luke warm. Curious why he let all of his songs get sampled before the LP came out? I don't think I'm going to buy it now...and I'm a KISS fan. I think his Frehley's Comet albums were much better and more focused than this. His singing, while never a corner stone of his musical career, is even more uneven here and in some cases a distraction when the music is doing it's job. Eh...his weakest effort of all the albums he has released (similar to Peter's last venture).

      I dunno.

I kind of liked it. But then I didn't have that high of expectations going in. There is still and Ace vibe behind the modern mathy rock on most of the songs. The G. Khan thing was cracking me up but I didn't really want to turn it off either. I agree that the Sweet song was a bit flat, but a great one to choose to cover; much as was Do Ya many many years ago. Not too sure about Angels or Great Life tho.

All in all I'd say it was a nice shout out to all the rock soldiers.
