NFL News Ted Bruschi is retiring today.

Sad day for the Pats, but better to retire before becoming ineffective and making a fool of your self. Amazing he was able to come back from a stroke and play again.

Yeah I heard about that and was bummed. I was hoping he would get one more shot at a fourth championship trophy. But, like you said, it's better to go out while your still highly regarded than to be pushed out as an aging under performer.

Never run into him in real life, but he is not the player he used to be. Used to read a throw and be able to intercept it. Last couple of years it was get to it and try to knock it down.

I live a few minuts from the statium and run into players every so often at a supermarket or where I used to work. One of the nicest guys is Wes Welker very normal. The girls who waited on him keeped talking about his blue eyes.

I don't know, his 75 tackles are exact to Akin Ayodele and he did it in 3 less games, so he would probably be number 2 ILB behind Channing Crowder in Miami. Since he's 7 years older and did come back from a stroke, maybe Akin will be having a press conference soon too. They should see if he wants to pull a Favre and come out of retirement. Might make the Dolphins better,..... oh sorry shot milk out my nose just now. I'll be at the game on Thursday, though I don't expect to see any players I recognize on the field. Tix were a gift from work so I'll be there. Preseason, and going with a Giants fan. Plus crowds and traffic. I'll miss my Laz-Y-Boy for sure. Can't believe I'm going to an NFL game while there is still baseball left to play.

OK it's December and there is a bunch of injuries to the defense. Bill calls Tedy and asks him to come back for the last of the season. Do you think he would?

I find this is going to be a loss for My Pats, and one that will hurt them. I have to think this is leading to a deal of some sort...... just a gut feeling.

The Dolphins are better, defending AFC East champs and don't you for get it

yeah he had 75 tackles but that means nothing, it's like Zach Thomas who's still getting mad tackles but he's just not as dominant as he once was.

He was a heckuva a player, but as a Colts fan I wasn't really fond of him!

Spent his whole career with the Pats and, get this, negotiated his own contracts. Never had a jerk like Scott Boras represent him.
