predict the world 50 years from now.

How much do you think will change?

The world is already turning upside down as it...
How many headlines and crazy stories will there be??

Go 50 years in the past (1959) and predict what's going to happen in 2009

    Hover Cars ?
    Silver Space-Age leisure suits ?
Global peace - or global war ?
Hopping from planet to planet space ships ?
    No more natural conception ?
    No more poor people ?
    World government ?

I predict 50 years from 2009 wont be all that different then today - take away a few new inventions.

Haven't you heard? The world will end in 2012. Won't be anybody here in 50 years.

The human race is nothing but a blip on Earth's radar.

              Overpopulation.
All kinds of "modern" diseases, due to bad quality air/water/food.
Armed conflicts due to expanding populations.
Species being extinct every day, animal and plant life making way for cities.
Humanity groaning under the weight of its own technological "explosion".

Basically: watch the movie Soylent Green, and treat is as a documentary.
              .
              .
              .
"When things are at their darkest, it's a brave man that can kick back and party."

Just like the world the Jetsons live in.

Except for the devastation caused by global warming.

But hey, we'll have robot maids, dinner in pill form, and dog treadmills outside your window. And the houses will all be up in sky to avoid the massive flooding from the melted ice caps, so it's all good.
