KISS is doing a 35th anniversary tour. Once again, Tommie Thayer will pretend to be Ace and Eric Singer will pretend to be Peter. Will anyone here be going to see them?
I think I'd rather see Mini-KISS, the all dwarf KISS tribute band.

Not to bash on Ace and Peter, but Tommy and Eric are better musicans. So the show is going to rock!

I got my notice yesterday and the closest they will be to DFW is houston. I want to go and take my 13 yr old son but not to Houston . . . hope they announce more shows

KISS just got in a ton of hot water here this week, the town I work in had the most votes in Canada on the KISS site and Gene promised a concert (There are posters of Gene SImmons everywhere here!). Then KISS announsed they would be playing in Toronto instead, 24 hours of national bad press made the band announce a date in Oshawa and live up to their committment.

Simmons claims it was a surprise to launch their album however:

I'm gonna try to go to the Chicago show. I really wanted to go to the Cobo Hall show but can't swing it, I've got some touring of my own to do!

I don't doubt that Eric Singer is a better drummer and singer than Peter and Tommy might be better than Ace. So, is'nt it kind of cheezy that they are forced to cut and dye their hair to look like Peter and Ace, wear their makeup and outfits, etc. If Gene and Paul think these guys are so talented, why don't they let them make up their own makeup and costume designs? Just like they did for Erik Carr and Vinnie Vincent??

yeah, KISS Fan at heart here speaking- Tommy and Singer are good at what they do and apparently don't abuse substances.. and from what I read, are reliable by showing up on time, catching planes, etc...

Having that said- I was bitter for many years...they "are not KISS".

In my mind, I have begun to look at them as uber-KISS-Army-Fans living the dream. They've stuck it out, proven themselves..earned some respect from this Die-hard Peter & Ace fan.

I think we're gonna actually try for the Chicago show.
