    Hawaii Five O season 5

I've been collecting Hawaii Five O seasons and they have all been good but this season has been particularly fun with all it's guest stars(many Star Trek oriented):

William Shatner (doing his ham with a southern fried accent in this episode)
    Ricardo Montalban
Diana Muldaur (in the same episode as Ricardo)
Michael Ansara (sans hair piece, Kang from Day Of The Dove)
    Dirk Benedict
    Richard Hatch
    Keenan Wynn
Andy Griffith (as a con man!)
    Richard Anderson
    Patty Duke
    Robert Foxworth
Sandra Smith (the chick Kirk became in Turnabout Intruder)
    Madlyn Rhue (Mrs. Khan)
Lawrence Montaigne (Stonn from Amok Time and Decius in Balance Of Terror)
Richard Basehart (Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea and just a great all around actor)
    Mark Lenard
Malachi Throne (in the same show as Mark)
    Erik Estrada

I'm a season behind now that season 6 is out but I'll pick that up when I am done with this one.

How many seasons did they do ?

They seem like they were on throughout the whole 70's or more

H50 lasted 12 seasons airing until 1980. Since it started in 1968, it means it ran all the way through the 1970's.

I love Hawaii Five-O! I have all the boxsets through season 5. Season 6 is out and seven comes out next month. Hard to keep up! Man with all of those guest stars I might have to skip ahead and start season five now. It's funny but I always wanted a Mego sized Steve McGarret when I was a kid. Still waiting to see if someone will sculpt a convincing likeness. That would be cool!

I remember the big 2hr finale they did in 1980.. 'Woe to WoFat'..

              Always remembered that title.

As a guitar player, it's fun doing cool riffs during gigs.., but if you really want to get an audience going.., just do some kick-a@@ TV themes.

H50's theme is one of the coolest numbers to master..

That is one of the coolest things I've seen.
Excellent work- as soon as I opened the window, my wife was walking by and said "That looks like Jack Lord- what are you looking at?"

Was there ever much H5O stuff produced? I've seen a couple Whitman TV books and a viewmaster set. I'm guessing there's a board game. No comics or the like though, surprisingly.

That was just on Sunday on KOFY-TV Retro Night. Great show.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I'm a fan of 5-0 but honestly, the thing that put the bug in my ear for doing a McGarrett figure (besides the fact that I always loved 1970's TV and movie figures, especially Mego ones) was that many times when I was watching H50 DVD's Jack Lord would be in one of his blue suits.

Every time he was in his blue suit, I would say he was in his Clark Kent suit (because it reminded me of Mego's Clark Kent suit). And it just started to build in me to pick up a Doc Mego Clark Kent suit and make up a head.

I like the head but wish the hair came out a bit neater and the overall head was smaller.
