yup, it's our fault they let that idiot go. We wanted to tell the world that we like/love oil so we negotiated with scottland to get the terrorist released. Our country also buys opium from Bin Ladin's garden and oil, since we are just in it for the oil, from his private stock. Gotta love how this thread turned into a terrorist being released to how much the U.S. loves oil.

I do have one question ....
This guy was clearly a mass murdering terrorist ...
Wouldn't his release have to go through the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands ?
I know the United States is not a member country of the court (thank God), but it really shouldn't matter considering he is being held in a member country's prison.

Why not put a bullet in his head and save plenty of wasted tax money! Would be cheap and quick!

I think that he got convicted of this terrible thing, then he should of stayed in prison, not got released on compassionate grounds,i bet there are other criminals with some terminal disease? Are they going to be set free too? Just my 2 pence
There should of been some form of appeal system but obviously they bypassed that.

Actually, we'll never be rid of terrorism as long as OIL remains the very stuff of life. Are you denying that there's not an inextricable link here? Is Libya primarily a watermelon exporting country? ? ? Fill me in how these are disparate ideas.....Comment

This is causing outrage here in England.
I would have kicked him out the back door of the plane he went home on and let him fall 30,000ft and see if that scares him a little bit.
maybe they should talk to the people who went to the crash site.
One bloke in particular who discovered the bodies of two children strapped into their seats with the look of fright on their faces and their fingers crossed. Then ask if this bloke should have been released.
I hope he suffers a truly difficult and agonising death at the hands of cancer.
If anyone even suggests this isnt about trade , oil etc is frankly talking out of their behind.
ps: it wasnt only americans who died on that plane. there were quite a few british people on board going on holiday.Comment
