Can You Help Recall the Name of THIS Movie?

Yes, another "I remember the movie, kinda, but not the name" thread.

This one was probably made for TV in the late 70s, had something to do with Indian (Native Amererican) mysticism. The scene that I recall best had the three main characters (an older man, maybe a shaman, a younger man early 20s, possible reluctant disciple/trainee & the young man's love interest) being pursued by EVIL FORCES in the form of a 50's era black sedan. The shaman puts a line of powder across the road as the sedan races in their direction. As soon as it gets to the line of powder the front of the sedan crumples as if it'd hit an invisible brick wall. The three leads walk off into the woods.

    Definitely not "The Manitou". Anyone?

If you do not get an answer here, you should try this:
this is the imdb's "I need to know forum"
This is the place to post those film/TV/video/etc trivia questions you DON'T know the answers to - perhaps one of your fellow community members can help.

I was able to get a number of films identified there when I could only recall slight fragments of whatever feature it was

Sometimes they come back is an 80's movie, so I don't think it's that one

Cool, I had tried some keyword searches on IMDB but wasn't aware of that forum.

No problem, glad you found the movie. I have been on the imdb for years but never bothered to check the main forums. I always stuck to the forum for whatever film page I was on. I kept wondering why no one ever made a site about those "what was this called" problems. Then one day I checked the main page message boards and low and behold there it was.

PS: the interesting part of your film is that within the last two weeks someone I know shot me an email because they got a hold of Shadow of the Hawk either from a vhs to dvd copy or some rare dvd edition released somewhere in the world. I had never heard of the film before then.
