Michael Vick has wasted too much of my time by being on my TV when I'm trying to watch it.
I live in Florida, and I don't watch football. So as long as he keeps his nose clean, I can guarantee he won't be on my TV.
I'm satisfied with that.
That, and knowing that one day PETA will throw red paint on him and his brand new sneakers.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

while i agree everyone deserves a second chance, I just don't want to hear about him all season, he's a back up QB now, maybe they'll run an option here or there but a year away from the game might affect him poorlyLooking for Infinite Heroes Robin and Catwoman

JULY 17--NFL star Michael Vick was indicted today on a federal conspiracy charge for his alleged role in a dog fighting venture that operated from a Virginia property owned by the Atlanta Falcons quarterback. A copy of the indictment, filed today in U.S. District Court in Richmond, can be found below. The 27-year-old Vick, whose nickname is listed as "Ookie" in the indictment, allegedly established the Bad Newz Kennels in early-2001 in Smithfield, Virginia. It was this property, for which Vick paid $34,000, that the star athlete and his codefendants used as the "main staging area for housing and training the pit bulls involved in the dog fighting venture and hosting dog fights." According to prosecutors, Vick and his cohorts began purchasing pit bull puppies in late-2001 and would eventually "sponsor" individual dog fights with purses as high as $26,000. In the indictment's most harrowing parts, federal investigators describe what happened to some Bad Newz Kennels dogs that either lost matches or did not perform well in test fights. After a March 2003 loss by a female pit bull, codefendant Purnell Peace, "after consulting with Vick," electrocuted the animal. In April, prosecutors allege, Vick, Peace, and Quanis Phillips, "executed approximately 8 dogs that did not perform well in 'testing' sessions." These animals, the indictment claims, were killed "by various methods, including hanging, drowning, and slamming at least one dog's body to the ground." (18 pages)

The sad to me is he probaly doesnt really care what he did, and thinks he can just carry on from here.
Its high time some of these sports stars, celebrities and others are given more for what they have done.
WHere do you think the kids of today are learning from?

Very sick......
I could have sworn there was an article later that stated he just attended the events, I guess it was just a poor attempt by his pr people to distance him in a sense from the actual deed.Comment

er.........who is heComment

PETA pretty much wants to lynch him. The SPCA is actually kind of happy Vick is there. According to them, dog fighting is really bad there and with him being there,it'll bring more attention to it so they can get rid of it.Comment

Having said that...
PETA deserves paint being thrown at them as well...I have never seen such a hypocritical organization such as PETA.
They are nothing but a cult. They have EUTHANIZED thousands of dogs themselves...the vice president continues to this day...to receive animal-tested insulin shots for her illness...saying that she doesn't mind being a hypocrite as long as it keeps her alive to continue the battle of saving animals.
My...how convenient...she can have cake and eat it too.
...and when they protest the killing of mosquitos and coackroaches...well...that's just weak and laughable at best.
Screw PETA.
You want to support a worthy animal right cause?
I highly recommend the World Wildlife Fund, Greenpeace, The Sea Shepard Society, and any local animal shelters like the SPCA...but NOT PETA.Last edited by Hector; Aug 14, '09, 1:53 PM.sigpicComment
