Oh...these are great to place and grill an entire pig...lol.

My neighbor is Uruguayan...and he's the one who directed me to this type of grill...they are very popular in South America.

He has griiled a whole pig like this...and it comes out awesome...as a matter of fact...he threw a big party yesterday...and yes...a whole pig was grilled.

With the wood burning...and the grill raised...the pig slowly cooked for about six hours...and then it was done...no burning whatsoever.

I should've taken pictures...darn...it didn't even occurred to me at the time...

I had a gas grill...and got rid of it.

However...these models do have an optional small side gas burner...you just place it on one end...I think I'll get it...and use it to warm up soups and stuff like that...

A buddy I works with buries his pig in a pit and stuffs it with chickens.The downside so much of the skin is burnt.Its great there is no burning cooking it this way.
