        It's complicated.

The original cards listed Teela as the heroic warrior Goddess. Teela and the Goddess became two seperate characters. Teela with the snake armor on is the Goddess (The Goddess had green skin in the first mini comic). Teela without the armor is her daughter/clone.

In the original mini-comics and DC mini-series He-Man was always shouting lines like "By the Goddess!!" and "For the Goddess!!" The Goddess was later renamed the Sorceress.

        An extra bit of trivia.

Evil-Lyn was the evil warrior Goddess.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Well,.. She is a Warrior,.. & Obviously a Goddess too. ... If I scene a Chick Dressing like that,.. those would be my 1st 2 thoughts...

My Mythos of Teela is a Bit Vauge,.. Other than She is Man-at-Arms Daughter,.. & can't tell that Adam is He-Man.

I don't know if this relates to the Previous tales & Legend of Teela,.. But in the short lived Revamped toon,... Teela was actually the Sorceress' Daughter, & Adopted By Man-At-Arms,.. Because te Sorceress was unable to care for her,.. do to her Guarding GreySkull & All. Teela in a Couple of the Later Episodes started Developing some Sorceress Powers too. Which woulda Sorta Make sence,.. considering She's a Chick, The Sorceress is rarley scene, & Evil Lynn is one of the Main Baddies to Combat.

Teela being the Sorceress' daughter comes from the original mini comics and story bible. One of the main things that really ticked me off about the re-imagined series (and there were many, many things that irked me) is how they deminished the Sorceress' roll and importance and basically replaced her with King Grayskull and the Elder's of Eternia.

Ugh! The less said about the 2002 series the better. Don't make me go there. Had to self edit myself several times. My post was going to be too harsh.
