Showtime Pizza / Chuck E Cheese Of The 80's

I picked these up the other day for $1. I always was a big fan of Showtime Pizza / Vintage Chuck E Cheese. ( Yes I collect some odd stuff sometimes, LOL ) These bring back memories of The way it used to be, before they turned into its bland version of today. Who does not miss the Animatronic Stages, with mouse hole tunnels. What about the old Cheese factory maze ? We had my son's 2nd birthday at the CEC near us and well its' just not what it used to be. I miss the old setup.

Anyways I picked up a Chuck E, Munch , and Jaspar Jowls. Great condition too !

My favorite was ShowBiz Pizza and the Rock-Afire Explosion. I loved Fatz Geronimo in his gold tux. It has long since gone.

We have 1 CEC now and the band is in very poor condition.

I remember going to the Pittsburgh Comic-Con back in the early '80s with a buddy of mine. There was a Showtime Pizza near the site, so on the way home we stopped for pizza & beer. There were a couple college girls sitting alone in the next booth, we said hello, chit-chat, offered a round to them. Got a lot of giggles & they left. Then we realized that we were both wearing Batman & Joker T-shirts. Not cool enough back then.

But hey- the pizza was good, the beer was cold, and the monkey was pretty good on the piano.

When I was in the eighth grade me and a couple friends useta go to Showbiz and sit in the dining area and wait for families to get up and leave--they usually left a slice or two on the table which we'd swoop in and snag.

After our pizza scheme, our buddy would sneak onto the stage when the curtain was closed in between Rockafire sets. When the curtain opened he'd be doing the robot and lip synching like he was part of the show.

            God, we were a nightmare.

I remember when it was "Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theater." I actually came across a cool story & video of a guy who visited a CEC as an adult witha friend they they had a blast. There's YouTube video on there and it still looks like fun!

oh man I still have my little Chuck E. Cheese figure ... I save up those tickets ... I think it was like 150 or something to get one.

man I miss the old CEC ... back in the 80's the one in salem was huge had about 7 or 8 different areas to sit and eat, a huge arcade, oh man I loved the Star Wars game (the one you could sit down in) and all the little tunnels ... the whole place was amazing to an 8 year old ... but sadly they had a fire, and moved into a building just across the parking lot that was about 1/5th the size it use to be. I guess they had plans to move back into the original building, but by the time the building was fixed up CEC's had started going down hill, so they stayed in the building they moved to and are still there, a shell of what it once was.

I have some old pictures of CEC back in the day ... now I want to go dig them out lol
