Just finished watching 10+ hours of LOTR

I am just thinking of doing this as i am off work ill at the moment.

I remember years ago doing a Star Trek day at the cinema. This was movies 1--6, one after each other, it was great.

My daughter and I watched them back to back to back in the movie theater when Return of the King came out. Select theaters around the country ran all three on opening day of ROTK. The Fellowship and Two Towers were the extended versions, which is the only time those versions were shown in theaters. There was a short restroom/concessions break between each film. We are both big fans of the films.

I've watched the LOTR movies in the same week. One every other day.
They're still fantastic movies.
I've even done my own "edit": I once watched only the Frodo and Sam scenes, and then the Aragorn/Legolas/Gimli scenes. I loved the way I could follow one specific group without interruptions. I hope PJ won't be upset!

Closest I ever got to watching a franchise, was seeing all POTA films in one day in a local cinema, and seeing the SW OT in one sitting (again in a movie theatre).
