Mexico routs USA in Gold Cup final

To be fair...the USA was missing many of its starters...but so was Mexico.

Having said that...this Mexican team is way better than the lineup they have for the CONACAF qualifiers...I like the return of Aguirre as their coach...I hope he gets rid of the other losers...and make this current bunch his regular national team...surrounded around the three amigos, Torrado, Dos Santos, and Vela...three young great players with lots of European club experience.

It was Mexico's first victory over the USA in American soil in a decade.

I can't wait for the Mexico vs USA CONCACAF qualifier at Azteca Stadium in early August...it's gonna be a barn-burner.


I'm also watching the World Football Challenge final on ESPN2 right now...it's Mexico' Club America vs England's Chelsea...

Chelsea is now ahead of Club America 2-0.

Looks like Chelsea will win the World Football Challenge.

The Italian teams...Inter and AC Milan...were big disappointments in this tourney...both got spanked by Chelsea and Club America.

I saw this result and did not believe it. As you said the American team was not the same one that played in South Africa the other month.
