I just landed this on a trade...





It's a now out of production Horizon Superman vinyl model from the 90s.

Notice the long hair...

It's pro-built by a very talented model-maker whom I've known for some time.

I traded my unbuilt Horizon Flash vinyl model for this Superman.

This Supes is 13" in height...and has custom weights inside the mold.

The Flash is a more expensive and rarer model...but it's unbuilt, and this Supes is already done...it's awesome.

dude Superman has been calling to me also ... I don't think I'll focus on him, but I really can see where one would want to.

I think it's a great idea, but like others have said ... maybe hold off on selling too much of your other stuff, until you really get the feel of a Superman only hobby.

But for sure do what makes you happy.

I've been focusing on Superman for a while, but still love Megos (and JLU, for that matter). The nice thing about Superman collecting is that is very possible to do on a budget, and there's just so much stuff that you can focus within Superman collecting on your favorite versions. I like oddball off-model foreign items, but I really dig the 1970s Reeve era, and even the later DC Direct stuff.

I really want one of those wooden Superman figures, too. They come up pretty frequently on eBay, but I've seen so many bad restorations that I just can't bring myself to buy one from there yet.
