Ever heard of the "Mothers In Law" TV show?

    (1967)

I netflixed a disc of a couple of one shot Lucille Ball specials and this show coming to DVD (from MPI home video) was part of the previews.

I never heard of it before. Anyone see it?

Biggest surprise is that Roger C. Carmel (Harry Mudd) is one of the regulars.

Definitely want to check it out.

This is why I used to love TV Land and Nick At Nite. They would crack open a long forgotten show that I had never seen before that might or might not be good.

I know of it only because I remember my older sister liking it.

Kay Ballard and Eve Arden (formally of Our Miss Brooks)... some VERY funny ladies.

I remember that Carmel played one of the husbands... can't remember who was the other without checking Google.

Yeah, I remember the show. The kids got married and the in-laws lived on either side of their house. Was kinda like a sixties version of Everybody Loves Raymond. Deborah Walley was the daughter if I recall. I'll have to go google because I can't remember the other husband either.

          Hang on a minute...

Herbert Rudley played the other guy. He looks familar, must have been a character actor in lots of shows from that era.

I remember the show.. It was one of the only Desi Arnez-produced shows ever to make it to the network schedule from Desilu Productions, appearing on NBC, just before Lucy's 'Here's Lucy' started on CBS. The 'Mothers in Law' was first and the last of his projects, I believe...

            Entertaining show, excellent casting.

Yep, in the 70's a local independent station used to play it all the time. Good fun! When does it say the DVD comes out?
                It's all good!

Yes i remember it first run, yes i'm that old! it was a fun show with the moms always copmpeting who was better. i had it in my mind that is what i wanted to do marry the girl next door or someone i grew up with really close. well i'm not a redneck and all my neighbors were relatives, and the girls i knew growing up got married too young. so i'm still single, see life is nothing like on tv.

Now do you remember " My Mother the car"?
