        No way, no friggin' way on a boat that small unless I was sure it was dead. Used to fish for those and cut the line once it reached the boat, when they didn't cut the steel leader themselves.

          The Tarantula doesn't deserve to be in that group...I think the Tarantula is beautiful.

                Saw most of these, but this one really caught me out, looks like something from the jurrasic period, can u eat these things?, and are they dangerous?

                    Some of those fit the bill completely, but a few I would have to disagree on. The Crabs aren't really that ugly, just crabby. And Sloths always get a bum rap. They aren't exactly handsome, but I wouldn't call em the ugliest in the world. Same for the "Mop" dog and the Tarantuala. I can think of a few human type creatures that should be on that list.

                        People do eat these down here in Louisiana (but we eat anything). The ones they eat are alot smaller. They make them into balls like hush puppies.

                        I have never heard of anyone being attacked by one.

                          I don't think any of those critters are ugly. Startling, unsettling, bizarre... but not ugly. After I get over the initial shock, I get really curious more than disgusted.
