Any suggestions on things to do in San Diego?

Outside of Comicon, what are fun things to check out in San Diego?

What would you recommedn? Sea World? The Zoo? Sea Kayaking? Art Museum? Bike Tour? Night Life?

if you have kids, lego playland is a great place.

LEGOLand is fun.
I like the whole area that includes the Zoo and the Kid Train and the Museum and more. I forgot the name of that park, but it's huge and is an all-day affair.
Sea World, I would skip. Too expensive, too hot and too annoying for me. Not enough payoff in my opinion, except for the cold Penguin habitat.
There are a bunch of groovy semi-tourist trap but decent food establishments in the "Old San Diego" area. I can look up the name there, just can't recall right now.
I was surprised that the Wild Animal Park was actually pretty neat, and worth the time. If you have the means, make an appointment ahead of time for a personal truck tour that gets really close to the animals.

My nephew was stationed at the San Diego Naval Base.

Suppose to be the largest Naval Base in the USA.

Enjoying San Diego a great deal, particularly the beach culture. Hooked up with members of the local club for some training down in Coronado and the Silver Strand in the morning, Beautiful smooth paved recreational paths. Went to Old Town this afternoon, fun little historical district. Checked out a little gallery with a Dr Suess exhibit.

Sea Kayaking in La Jolla was terrific fun, saw some tiger sharks in the shallows and paddled some caves.

Looking forward to the Zoo tomorrow.

Staying in a cottage twenty paces from Ocean Beach, wonderful low key neighbourhood. About to head out to check out the antique shopping down the street.
