Sad...... And I'm Not Buying A Freak Accident Story

This was so sad and there is absolutely not buying this was an accident. Somebody deliberetly hurt this little guy. I hope they get caught and hung for this. The only good thing is that the puppy is doing well , and is not permanately injured. ( there were pics but they are too gruesome and sad)

    Dog Stabbed Wth BBQ Fork
Thursday, July 16, 2009 A freak accident left a barbecue fork stuck in the head of a chihuahua puppy for two days, but he miraculously survived.

At a family barbecue in Manchester, Kentucky, a grilling fork broke off its handle, skewering 12 week old Smokey in the head. In the shock of the moment, Smokey ran off into the nearby woods, and was lost for two days.

When found, he was immediately taken to the Cumberland Valley Animal Hospital, where the fork was removed from Smokey’s head and brain in a 30 second operation.

According to veternarian Dr. Keaton Smith, Smokey never showed any signs of pain during the procedure, and hours after was alert and eating.

Although the next six weeks are crucial, the lucky pup is expected to make a full recovery.

It's really sad, and I really doubt a freak accident did this because that thing was jammed in far. Poor pup, I am not an overly sensitive animal nut, but I do hate to see animals harmed or killed senselessly. That was no accident.

I agree that it was no accident. I've accidentally dropped heavy knives onto my bare foot that hardly broke the skin. The BBQ fork didn't fall out as the dog ran, and remained in the skull for 2 days? Must have been in there pretty good. Jerks.

So sad. I got an email a few days ago with pictures of cruelty to animals and it makes me so sick to the stomach. They give us so much and ask for so very little.

                      No kidding it's sad.

                      Any animal cruelty is "sad".

However someone deciding to shove a fork into
a puppy's skull may be the definition of "super-sad".

                      Crazy world.

What kind of person deliberately hurts puppies and kittens??
                        Loser.

Animal cruelty sucks, and people who do this type of thing suck.

Described as a "30 Second operation" is pretty funny, though. Glad it's doing ok.

It also appears to have been one of the kids...... But they saw this tends to be the first sign of a serial killer.
